The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Scientist clad in a 50 pound aluminum and steel space suit in the "moon room", a vacuum chamber built by the Air Force and Litton Industries to simulate atmosphere equal to an altitude of 95 miles during his record-breaking test, Beverly Hills, California, 1957.
